Meeting Notes - 06 July 2000

So hold on to your seats folks! We have "Chosen the white theme and
we're gonna keep it clean with our washing machine!!" That's
right....we're bringing a washing machine to the playa....we think we can
run two loads a day to keep the place as white as it can be....we've also
contemplated covering the washing machine with dildos (attached via
suction cup) for smutty spin-cycle pleasure....MikeK was kind enough to
do a little research and found two washing machines for us to
consider....

Apparently one load in a front loader uses about 35 gallons of water per
load, whereas a top loader uses something like 50. That's a lot of
water, but if we do two loads per day and use the same water for two
days, we can get away with only bringing about 250 gallons of wash water,
which ain't so bad.

We have also had 70 pairs of white socks donated by Laurie in
Minnesota....I'm sure we can find a use for that....in addition, Hiroko
and I are going to try to make white paper jackets that we can put on
people who come into the shack wearing "too much color"....of
course...blacklights are a serious must (Dip...can you help us out in
that department??) and Jimp mentioned something about black light penis
dildos or something (Jimp...please elaborate)...

We also thought that each night we would have "red light time" where we
would bathe the shack in red as kind of a "smut time" indicator....just a
thought.

JD has been talking to Rob Rail about using his sound system.....we need
to nail that down or we have to get a system from JK immediately....so
that means we need form to call JK this week because he's the only person
they will rent too. But this doesn't cover actual DJ equipment so we
need some folks to bring some....

We are in full couch alert mode!!!! Thanks to Jim, Imber, and dTodd (was
Austin there too??) we've acquired several couches and many cushions
(Imber..can you give us a rundown on what you got??).....the cushions can
be used for the large poof chair idea (Christina?? Steve??) if we can't
get something made....

Also, couches will be stored at 32 Ford, in the basement...you can drop
off couches anytime but you will need to have enough people to do it as
Sparky and I aren't home during the day....if you have one, here's how
you get into the basement....when you come to 32 Ford, walk up the stairs
about halfway until you are at the level of the garden, then take a right
(through the garden) and go around the house...you will see the door to
the basement right in front of you....you will also see a huge rock near
the door, under which there is a key to the basement.....please lock up
and return the key when you are done...

We need to start figuring out what we're going to do about about wall
material...thoughts?

There was lots of talk about projection stuff...there was talk of getting
a couple of slide projectors and a cross fader and we're still excited
about spot's projection project as well.....but we need to start getting
some commitments.....

Susan has reserved a 25" truck...now that we're starting to get couches
and such, we need to make sure this is enough....

Steve mentioned that we've secured around $4000 in donations so
far....we're still short of our goal, but this is a great start.....

The word on the street is that BMOrg won't let anyone know where they
will be located until August....this could have a drastic effect on our
camp (size, etc.) so if anyone knows anyone on the inside and can try to
get a scoop on where we might be....please do so, and fast...

We also decided that food was an integral part of the camp....and since
eating and all white don't necessarily play nicely together...we came up
with the washing machine.....but I think we should definitely serve
marshmallows, marshmallow creme, and the like... :o)

Also, MikeK knows someone who could make us a new neon heart....Jimp, do
you still have the transformer???

We wanted to shoot for July 16th for the Electrical Primer from MikeK at
the storage space, but we need some commitments for that date....(JD??,
Dip??)

We need to start getting an idea of when people will be leaving SF and
when people will reach the playa so we have an idea of camp building
resources and timing...so please let us know when you've nailed down your
plans.

There has still been talk of smoke machines and bubbles.....we promise
not to sit on the button until the machines overheat and get stinky
(thanks JD!).....but we still need to find out where to get them, cost,
etc.

We need to start nailing down some responsibilities too...so if you can,
please volunteer for some of these "must have" responsibilities:

- Who will drive the truck to the playa?? (dTodd??)
- Who will secure the generator??
- Who will "lead" the construction of the main tent??
- Who will handle electrical (this is a little complicated with the
addition of the washing machine)??
- Who will handle food?
- Who is bringing DJ gear?
- Who will help load the truck?? Unload the truck at the Playa??

Although we've settled on the "white" theme, we haven't exactly put a
meaning behind it yet (purity, whatever) so if anyone has some ideas,
bring it on....

That about covers it....great meeting and finally some decisions being
made....the countdown is right around 6 weeks!!!!! so if you can lend a
hand, please do!!!!
